The Cederberg mountains are located near Clanwilliam a small town some 300km north of Cape Town. Characterised by raw and dramatic beauty, this wilderness area features impressive wind-carved rock formations, such as the Maltese cross and Wolfberg Arch, and is home to many San rock paintings.
The landscape is varied, rough and rugged and offers a true wilderness experience. Although we spend most of the route on trails, the terrain is very technical (rocky and sometimes overgrown section), challenging and cannot be underestimated.
Day 1 is travel and arrival at Cederberg Park, Kromrivier. Days 2 to 8 are spent hiking, day 9 is spent decompressing at Kromrivier and on day 10 we travel back to Cape Town.
This multi-day hike takes place in rugged mountain areas and can be strenuous and challenging. The hiking surface is on technical trails. Some surfaces are quite rocky and stability and good hiking shoes are required. Hikers need to be healthy and hiking fit and be able to manoeuvre steep inclines/descents and rocky terrain for the duration of the hike. Participants require a good level of fitness.
Join us on an unforgettable hike and discover breathtaking landscapes, hidden trails, and moments you’ll remember long after the journey ends.
